The Highway 7 East Bus Rapid Transit [BRT] corridor currently services 6,700 daily passenger trips and is projected to service over 10,100 by 2035.
Funding >> York Region’s 10-year Capital Plan includes funding for Environmental Assessment [EA] and preliminary engineering and design to ensure this critical project is ready for construction funding from senior levels of government.
Timeline >> Planning is underway for the Highway 7 East BRT corridor including a review of the existing Highway 7 East Environmental Assessment and completing preliminary engineering work. As planning and design efforts advance, detailed project updates will be provided.
