It’s the time of year when everyone’s thoughts turn to the joy of the season and nothing kicks off the holiday season better than a parade.
Over the next few weeks you’ll have plenty of opportunity to attend one of York Region’s many Santa Claus parades, and if you do, watch out for vivaNext and YRT\Viva, as we spread winter cheer.

Whichever Santa Claus parade you go to, look for YRT\Viva and vivaNext staff wishing you happy holidays while proudly walking and waving alongside a beautifully decorated viva bus — it’ll be hard to miss!

Unrelated question to the above but interesting nonetheless. At York Region Transit / Viva, is the proper name “Viva” all capitlized like the stylized “VIVA” found on the side of the buses or is it just “Viva”?
To further confuse things, in the above post is also see “viva” and “Viva” used.
Just a random question I’ve been pondering and would hope VIVAnext could help out 🙂

The YRT\Viva and vivaNext family use a variety of capitalization. YRT\Viva uses just a capital V in prose, but VIVA in logos – as you see on the side of buses. At vivaNext, we use the lowercase v in vivaNext and viva in prose, except at the beginning of sentences. We also use a capital N in vivaNext, except in our logo.
