Rapidways are helping connect people in York Region and beyond while attracting new customers to local businesses. Construction is messy though, and we help everyone get through it.

With input from the Community Liaison for each of our projects, construction activity has been carefully planned in a way that provided advanced notice of upcoming work and minimized disruptions as much as possible to area businesses. We also provided directional signs for motorists and pedestrians to help them access businesses.

To help local businesses during construction, vivaNext developed a Business Support Program in collaboration with local chambers of commerce, boards of trade and municipal staff.

Each year, we launched a public campaign to remind the community that businesses are still open during construction – this included ads in newspapers, on buses and billboards and on social media and the radio. Here’s one of our most recent examples:

Beyond ads, billboards and on-street signs, when construction is underway we also post profiles of businesses on our website and host or participate in local events and contests to promote businesses impacted by construction, and help businesses with alternative marketing methods.
